1) Configuring as a DHCP client

In Windows XP

• click Start/Control Panel/Network

Connections.

• right-click the appropriate network, and

then select Properties; the

Local Area Connection Properties

appears.

• select the protocol TCP/IP of the

network card, and then click the

Properties button; the screen Internet

Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties

appears.

• select the general tab, then the case

"Obtain an IP address automatically"

and the case "Obtain the addresses

of the DNS servers automatically".

• click the OK button to confirm your

choice.
